The Fotolux HB-48 Lens Hood is designed for Nikon 70-200mm F2.8G ED II .  The hood primarily prevents unwanted stray light from entering your lens and protects the lens from scratches. In addition, this hood features a non-glare matte finish on the interior surface to further prevent or limit lens flare. Moreover, the "petal" shape of this lens hood maximizes the amount of hood coverage for the minimum amount of weight and hood area and will not cause vignetting. The bayonet mount is designed to work in the reversed position, allowing the hood to be placed backwards over the lens for a more compact storage solution.
