The RF 70-200mm f2.8 L IS USM has been designed to achieve the much loved 70-200mm zoom range in just 146mm (at it's shortest length). This makes the lens approximately 27% shorter and 28% lighter than it's EF equivalent.

The RF 70-200mm f2.8 L IS USM takes full advantage of the wide diameter and short back focus of Canon’s RF mount to achieve a constant aperture value of f/2.8.

Water and Dust Resistance

By adopting a water and dust resistant construction, sealing is applied to the joining sections and switch panels to prevent water and dust from entering the inside of the lens. The fluorine coating on the surface of the front and rear elements ensure that oil and water is easily repelled and can be easily wiped off with just a dry cloth, without the use of solvent.
