Description

Take to the skies with Benro’s Aero travel tripod kit for video. This super compact video tripod utilizes reverse folding legs making it small enough to fit inside of a backpack, rolling case or carry on. The Aero tripods are easily converted to monopods by combining the removable leg and center column when needed.

Each kit includes a removable flat base video head with both pan (left to right) and tilt (up & down) controls for smooth and precise camera movements. Supplied with a padded carry case for the ultimate in travel convenience.

Adjustable Leg Angles

For an extra measure of flexibility, Benro tripod legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles to enable shooting in cramped quarters, on irregular surface areas, or at ground level

Cheap and cheerful

Second Benro for me. This one has more plastic. The head is not great. No friction adjustments. To get a smooth tilt and pan you have to unscrew the friction/locking knobs so make sure your camera is well balanced before doing this and do not let go of the handle. It's a lot of tripod for $240, just don't expect pro smoothness.

A well-made, affordable video tripod

There are damned few video-capable tripods in the sub-$300 range that are also light and compact enough to qualify as travel gear. The Aero 2 fits the bill nicely. The build quality is pretty good, and the pan & tilt mechanisms are smooth and steady. I would highly recommend this tripod at thie price point for a video shooter looking for portability. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it could be a bit smaller and lighter. I'm about to take this puppy on a multi-stage Africa trip, where it will REALLY be tested. I'll update you after that.
